Responsible for providing psychiatric assessments through personal interviews, review of records, interviews of third parties, and forma! l evaluation procedures in order to make/classify an accurate mental health diagnosis, ensuring optimal health by decreasing complications and expediting recovery.
Education/Experience:
- Must have a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an approved college of Medicine/Osteopathy.
- Must meet and maintain licensing and registration requirements as delineated by the Medical Staff Bylaws, Medical Staff Rules and Regulations, and Credentialing Policies/Procedures, if any.
- Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of Clinical Psychiatry and competency in basic psychiatric assessment techniques, psychotherapeutic intervention, family systems, and developmental orientation.
- Must be able to determine objectives, set priorities, and establish and meet target dates.
- Must be able to work effe! ctively with other health care professionals and serve as a re! source to the community.
- Must be able to demonstrate patient centered/patient valued behavior.
