Correctional Business Assistant

Performs responsible and complex duties associated with a specialized function of a section of clerical employees in a correctional institution.
Major/Essential Functions
Coordinate patient evaluation schedule for psychiatrist and clinical team. Maintain up-to-date and accurate information concerning patient treatment. Accumulate and distribute information for schedules â€" this includes checking patient chart and updating data base. Will post updated patient information after completed appointments with staff. Deals with sensitive information which requires that HIPPA guidelines be maintained.
Occasional Duties
Provides support for all clinical staff. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Three years progressively responsible clerical experience. Additional education and/or related experience to equal three years may substitute on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
At entry level, the employee must possess the ability to file alphabetically, to use the telephone c! ourteously, and must have intermediate computer skills. Must h! ave the ability to work harmoniously with a number of professionals. Ideally, the candidate will be familiar with office machines such as dictation equipment, shredder, copier, and computer.

Physical Demands
Occasional exposure weather conditions while walking from building to building within the Correctional Facility. Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs., walk long distances and be able to stand/sit for long periods of time.
