UNT Health Science Center in Fort Worth, TX is looking for an Inpatient Psychiatrist to join the faculty of the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Health. Join our exciting efforts to expand mental health service lines in Tarrant County, Texas.
Faculty has the opportunity to supervise residents in psychiatry, family medicine and emergency medicine, medical students, physician assistant students and nurse practitioner students . The Department of Psychiatry staffs the John Peter Smith Hospit! al Network’s Adult and Adolescent inpatient services within ! Trinity Springs Pavilion, a 96 bed psychiatric hospital, located at John Peter Smith Hospital. The inpatient services are designed around a collaborative multidisciplinary team that includes psychiatrically trained Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Social Workers and a nursing staff that is experienced and collaborative.
The John Peter Smith Hospital District and the Department of Psychiatry has embarked on a comprehensive redesign of mental health services for Tarrant County, Texas. The Department is highly collegial, and values evidence-based clinical practice and a commitment to teaching.
Responsibilities:
Faculty will provide leadership, direct clinical care, and administrative supervision of clinical services in the outpatient clinic through comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment planning. Extra duty for inpatient (adult and adolescent) weekend hospital call is paid in addition to base salary and occurs approximately on! ce every 10-12 weeks.
Qualifications:
Texas Licensed by hire date.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
Benefits:
Base Salary $220k depending on qualifications.
6% Match to Retirement
$5k per fiscal year for professional expenses.

Opportunity to supplement salary through shift work in our Psychiatric Emergency Center.

Total compensation can range from $240K to $250K (+).
