Major Duties
**Position can be located in Plano TX, Lutherville MD, Glendale CA .
This position is an independently licensed behavioral health Case Manager in a telephonic environment. The focus is on managing participants who are receiving care from an inpatient or acute care facility. There is no direct patient care but the role is critical to ensuring that patients are receiving quality clinical care and they are progressing in their treatment. The work environment is a corporate office, cubicle setting where you use your phone and computer the majority of the time.
Work hours are Monday through Friday 8:30am-5:00pm, no weekends.
Major Duties
Case/Care Managers provide varying levels of mental health/substance abuse utilization management services, crisis/triage referral services, and clinical review with providers telephonically for initial and continued authorizations. This position consults with an interdisciplinary team, including Psychiatrists, medical doctors, nurses, and other health professionals for crisis assessment/referrals, case management oversight and follow-up. This position also assess clinical necessity for all levels of care, coordinating care between inpatient and outpatient providers and assisting with the coordination of discharge planning
Qualifications
Qualifications
Requires one of the following independent behavioral health licenses: LCSW-C MD, LCPC MD, LPC TX, LCSW TX, Licensed Psychologist CA, TX, or MD, MFT CA, or Psychiatric RN TX, CA, or MD.
Strong behavioral health clinical experience is required.
