In San Antonio, TX: Texas Association of Community Health Centers is seeking a full-time licensed psychiatrist to prov! ide primary psychiatric care on an out-patient basis at a federally qualified health center. The new hire will diagnose and treat patients with mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. Must be able to treat patients from a diversity of social and ethnic backgrounds and to work creatively as a member of a health oriented team composed of health professions from a variety of disciplines for the healing and betterment of the center's patients.
REQUIREMENTS: Graduation from an accredited Medical school, completion of approved post-graduate training, and an unrestricted Texas medical license. Board eligible (with the intent to become certified) or Board Certified (preferred) in Psychiatry. Must maintain annual continuing medical education as required by Board specialty, and must have current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and Department of Public Safety (DPS) registrations for the purpose of writing prescriptions.
