Description: University of North Texas Health Science Center is looking of Instructor-Psychiatry NP/PA right now, this career will be placed in Texas. More details about this career opportunity please read the description below. JPS has a total of 96 beds in the Psychiatry Unit. This is a state employed faculty position with 12-14 paid holidays. There is very little to no call, CME monies allotted annua! lly, full health and retirement benefits included, as well as opportunities to work in the Psych ER unit on Weekends for extra income. Income is based on MGMA standards for NP/PA's, ranging from $95-105K. There are Grand Rounds (CME credit) every Friday at the JPS Trinity Springs Pavilion. Medical students will shadow patient rooms and Clinical Research and Community Service are encouraged. With a potential of earning extra salary working extra duty in the inpatient and/or psychiatric emergency center.

Required Qualifications

The candidate must have a current MPAS or CRNP license in the state of Texas. He/she must be board certified as a PA-C or Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and enter into a collaborative agreement with a physician and obtain prescriptive authority.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience is preferred, but we will consider a new graduate.
