More details about this position opportunity please read the description below. Rock Springs Hospital is seeking a dynamic individual for our Intake Admissions Coordinator position.
Rock Springs Hospital will be a new 72 bed free-standing psychiatr! ic and addiction hospital providing inpatient and outpatient services. This newly constructed building is located on 10 acres in Georgetown, Texas and is scheduled to open in the spring of 2014. The building was designed and built to enhance the treatment experience through a safe, healing, and therapeutic environment. Our mission is to provide the highest quality evidence-based treatment to adolescents, adults, military service members and their families suffering from mental illness and/or addition. Our treatment services are delivered in a professional and compassionate environment from healthcare professionals who are dedicated to motivating others to choose a life of sobriety and mental wellness. Our outpatient services include day treatment, intensive outpatient and aftercare programs.
Description
Coordinator ensures quality therapeutic care to patients seeking treatment of substance abuse, dual diagnosis or psychiatric or emotional disorders. Manager ove! rsees the assessment of the needs of walk-in and phone callers! and the completion and completes initial psychiatric assessment on patients seeking treatment. Manager supervises the answering and answers all inquiry calls regarding treatment and the facility, presents treatment options, documents calls and sets appointments for callers seeking treatment. Manager creates, revises, and implements the schedule of the assessment and referral office. Manager assesses the needs of walk-in and phone callers to ensure their referral to the service or resource to best address those needs. Manager completes initial psychiatric assessment on patients seeking treatment of substance abuse, dual diagnosis or psychiatric or emotional disorders and presents symptoms to psychiatrist for best recommendation of care. Manager interprets treatment to patient and family to help reduce fear and other attitudes obstructing acceptance of care and continuation of treatment. Manager refers and triages patients to other sources of treatment when appropriate. Mana! ger answers all inquiry calls regarding treatment and the facility, presents treatment options, documents calls and sets appointments for callers seeking treatment.
Education: Masters Degree from an accredited college or university, in Social Work or Rehabilitation Counseling.
Experience: Previous experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred. Must have strong clinical assessment skills.
License: Current unencumbered clinical social work or counseling license in Texas.
Additional Requirements: CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact. May be required to work flexible hours and overtime.
