The Client requires the personal services of two full-time Adult Psychiatrist(s) for the Department of Behavioral Health, William Beaumont Army Medical Center also referred to as the military treatment facility (MTF) and any of its outlying clinics located at El Paso, Texas .
Term . The period of performance will be from 1 October 2012 to 30 September 2013 with four one-year options available. The HCP is expected to commit to and fulfill a one year commitment. They will b! e given the option of extending and additional year for each o! ption year on the contract pending satisfactory performance.
Qualifications.
Hold a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited graduate school of medicine. And have completed psychiatric residency training program approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. The Contractor contract employee must have a minimum of two years of experience within the last three years working as a psychiatrist. Possess a current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Registration Certificate, and a National Provider Identifier (NPI).
Be board eligible or board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or other equal certifying body.
Possess, at all times, a current unrestricted license to practice psychiatry in any of the fifty United States, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands that allows for the independent practice of psychiatric services.
Be ab! le to meet credentials approval by the MTF Credentialing Committee and be granted privileges by the MTF Commander.
Have and maintain current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS). Such certification must be from the American Heart Association and state that it is specifically for “healthcare providersâ€.
Each HCP shall have sufficient skills, knowledge and experience to perform the specific tasks listed for this specialty.
Requirements.
The HCP shall not be listed on the Health and Human Services (HHS) list of providers excluded from Federally funded health care programs.
The HCP shall be a U.S. citizen or otherwise meet the requirements of AR 25-2, Information Assurance.
The HCP shall not have been convicted of a felony.
The HCP shall successfully complete a criminal history background check.
The HCP shall be able to read, write, and speak English well enough and enunciate with sufficie! nt clarity to effectively communicate with patients and other HCPs.
The HCP shall possess sufficient initiative, interpersonal relationship skills and social sensitivity such that the HCP can relate to a variety of patients from diverse backgrounds.
Able to operate a personal computer utilizing Microsoft applications, such as Internet Explorer, Outlook, Word, Excel, etc., and efficiently utilize an Electronic Medical Record.
The HCP shall use the various clinical automation systems as required, such as, but not limited to Composite Health Care System (CHCS), Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA), Ambulatory Data System (ADS), and Defense Medical Human Resource System â€" internet (DMHRSi).
The HCP shall be required to meet Continuing Medical Education (CME) requirements in AR 351-3 or as determined by the provider’s state of licensure, whichever is more stringent. The Government will not reimburse for these costs.
