For students qualifying for special education ser! vices, assist in providing needed services through the use of consultation, assessments, counseling, problem solving, and educational strategies. Responsibilities and Duties: Conduct assessments to include but not limited to psycho educational functional behavioral, autism, ADHD, etc. Conduct or participate in the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee to assist with appropriate placement and development of Individual Education Plans (IEP) for studentsConsult with relevant persons regarding the educational needs of students and interpretation of assessment dataConsult with psychologists, psychiatrists, medical doctors, and community agencies concerning intellectual, emotional, and behavioral functioning of students as neededComply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy in the areas of psychological services, assessment, placement, and planning for special education servicesWilling to take on variou! s roles & responsibilitiesAn ability to work with diverse Admi! nistration, Staff, Parents & StudentsHas an ethical responsibility and practices ethical decision making at all timesParticipate in educational opportunities for professional growth and developmentGenuine interest in people, behavior, and ideas and willing to implement new ideasPerforms other duties as assigned by the Director of Special Education
