For detail informations about this vacancy opportunity kindly see the descriptions. This position provides psychiatric care to a full caseload (based on % FTE) of patients with psychiatric disorders. The Advanced Practice N! urse is responsible for the delivery of professional care and competent services to adults (possibly some child and adolescent depending upon preference and qualification) in the areas of psychiatric evaluation, medication management, treatment planning, emergency evaluations in an outpatient setting. Familiar with current psychiatric diagnosis and treatment. Must have the ability to provide services via telemedicine to other clinic locations and document services using an electronic medical record. The Advanced Practice Nurse is responsible for ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, billing code requirements, and will complete records in a timely manner using the designated medical record system. Other duties include consultation with staff, treatment team participation, participation in the on call schedule (by phone, and if > 50% FTE) and coordination with other professionals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Registered Nurse with recognition from Texas Boa! rd of Nursing as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with Pr! escriptive Authority for adult, child and adolescent psychiatric disorders; current, active license as an Advanced Practice Registered in Texas as issued by the Texas Board of Nursing; Current active Texas Controlled Substances Registration Certificate issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety; Current, active Controlled Substance Registration Certificate issued by the U.S. Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration; unrestricted eligibility to participate in provider network for Medicare/Medicaid/other third party payers. Preferred: Certification as Nurse Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist in Psychiatry/Mental Health.
PHYSICAL ABILITIES: Must be able to pass a job related physical. Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, lift at least 25 pounds, and reach overhead. Must have a valid Texas driver’s license, have a good driving record for the past 3 years and a valid auto insurance card.
