South Texas Behavioral Health Center is recruiting a new General and/or Child Psychiatrist to the community of Edinburg, Texas.
The new physician will have the option of working in Inpatient, Outpatient or a combination of Inpatient and Outpatient services. A Child Psychiatrist will see a predominant if not all patient caseload of children and adolescents; A General Psychiatrist will see a diverse population of adults and older adults with general and ! dual diagnoses. Call is shared among the active physicians on ! staff on a rotation of 1:5. South Texas Behavioral Health Center features 134 beds with dedicated units to accommodate inpatient and outpatient levels of treatment for adult, geriatric and child/adolescent age patients. Programs are designed to treat a wide range of behavioral health and addiction treatment issues. Physicians have administrative and clinical support in their work with patients at STBHC and there is opportunity for personal and professional practice growth.
Edinburg, Texas is located just one hour from the beautiful coast of the Gulf of Mexico! The cities of Brownsville and Harlingen are located within easy driving distance, and Corpus Christi is located just 2 1/2 hours north. The area economies combine a strong, yet diverse infrastructure. Within a 150 mile radius of Edinburg and McAllen there are 15 ins! titutions of higher learning, which include vocational schools and universities. The area is rich in art, music, theater, sports and other community activities.
