Job Description:
Life Change Family Services and Counseling LLC is a collaborative, team-oriented mental health practice operatin g a Intensive Outpatient Program. This position performs moderately complex psychiatric duties within the scope of practice of the Licensed Physician Assistant , Nurse Practitioner, or Clinical Nurse Specialist This is a flexible, contract position working in a comfortable home-like setting.

The Advance Practitioner will:
Prescribe of psychiatric medications under the supervision of a licensed psychiatrist.
Asses medical and psychological histories
Initiating and monitoring detox protocols
Completing psychiatric diagnostics related to treatment planning and medication interventions
This is a part time position that is required to work 5 days a week from 9 am to 2 pm .
This is a flexible, contract position wor king in a comfortable home-like setting. Minimum hour commitment is 20 hours per week.
Required Credentials
- Graduation from a state certified advance practice program specializing in a psychiatry/mental health;
- ANCC certification in one of the following areas:
- Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
- Adult Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
- Family Psychiatricâ€"Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
- Adult Psychiatric-Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist
- An unrestricted license to practice as an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN)
- An unrestricted DEA registration in each state where direct services will be provided;
- A state-issued Controlled Substance Registration (CSR)
- Registration with the state Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP)
- No suspension/exclusion/debarment from participation in federal health care programs (e.g. Medicare, Medicaid, SCHIP); < li>Professional liability insurance â€" with minimum limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $3,000,000 aggregate.
Experience
- 1 year providing direct patient care to persons receiving treatment for psychiatric disorders is preferred.
