GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following is a list of job duties and responsibilities, including essential and marginal tasks:

This position will be primarily responsible for direct patient care activities with psychiatric patients throughout the Camino Real Service Area. Performs advanced psychiatric work. Work involves assessing medical history and physiological, psychological, and/or behavioral factors to determine the cause(s) of mental disorders; developing plans for psychiatric treatment, and administering specialized psychiatric and medical treatments and/or procedures. This position requires working closely with the Director of Mental Health Services, Medical Director and the Executive Director.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications to be eligible for the position:

• Board Eligible/Board Certified in Psychi! atry preferred.
• Texas medical license, or ability to ! obtain one required.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred, but not required.
• General computer knowledge required.
• Ability to treat child/adolescent population a plus, but not required.

PREFERRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Electronic health record experience preferred.
• Telemedicine experience preferred.
• Community Mental Health experience preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Knowledge of psychiatric principles and methods, of methods and procedures in the field of general medicine; and of the principles of the development, implementation, and documentation of individualized care and treatment plans.
• Thorough knowledge of medicine, general psychiatry and community psychiatry. Should have knowledge, skills and abilities in the specific area of psychiatry. Ability to evaluate consumers set up and carries out an effective course of treatment utilizing the abilities of oth! er clinical personnel. Advanced knowledge of the principles of the development, implementation, and documentation of individualized care and treatment.
