Glen Oaks Hospital is a 54-bed private mental health hospital in a relaxed setting in Greenville, Texas. Our com fortable, homelike atmosphere is conducive to healing for the adults and seniors we treat. Our greatest asset is the staff, comprised of psychiatrists, professional nurses, social workers and therapists. These individuals work as a team to uphold Glen Oaks Hospital’s reputation for excellence in helping patients resolve mental health and addiction problems. For nearly 30 years, Glen Oaks Hospital has been a leader in the field of mental health and chemical dependency care, and our staff is dedicated to researching the latest treatment approaches and applying this to our overall treatment philosophy.
The Admissions RN is a registered professional nurse who assesses and evaluates patients being admitted to the hospital, takes physician orders and does complete medication reconciliation with the physician in accordance with the nursing process and the standards of care and practices. Must have good clinical skills and be able to work independently with minimum superv ision.
Education: Graduate from an accredited RN program; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Experience: A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a psychiatric facility preferred.
Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Texas State Board of Nursing.
Additional Requirements: CPR certification and successful completion of Handle with Care prior to assisting in restraining procedures.
