Under limited supervision, the Heart and Vascular Center Director (HVC) administers, plans, directs and evaluates the daily operations of the Adult Cardiac Cath, Electrophysiology, Prep and Recovery areas, and Adult Echo and Vascular Labs to ensure quality patient care. This position interacts proactively with other directors, physicians, and members of the health care delivery team to achieve desired outcomes. The HVC Director demonstrates knowledge and skills required to provide oversight for the care and/or service to the Adult Cardiac Procedural patient population. Master's degree from an accredited college/university in a healthcare related field (MSN, MHA), or an MBA with an undergraduate degree in a healthcare related field (BSN, BHA), and a minimum of five years of work experience in a management position and work experience in a Cardiac Cath lab and an EP lab required. RCIS, RCES, CEPS, or RT(R)CI certification or licensed as a Registered Nurse by the state of South Carolina Board of Nursing or compact state preferred. Current South Carolina or compact state certification, licensure, and/or registration applicable to clinical designation is required.
